tales from the cult: memoir of a former black hebrew israelite available for purchase October 31, 2026!
Survivor-led Podcast Exposing Religious Abuse in Destructive Cults
Tales From The Cult is a powerful podcast and YouTube series created by Gina Blue, a former member of the Black Hebrew Israelite group Israel United in Christ (IUIC). As a cult survivor, independent journalist, and social justice activist, Gina has used her platforms since 2018 to expose the hidden truths behind religious extremism and spiritual abuse, particularly documenting her experiences in IUIC.
From 2016 to 2018, Gina was part of IUIC’s Las Vegas and California chapters, an experience she now recognizes as life inside a destructive cult. In 2018, she began documenting her journey of leaving the IUIC and healing from religious trauma on her YouTube channel Tales From The Cult.
In 2019, Gina was featured by BBC News for her knowledge of IUIC and her independent reporting on the tragic murder of Joy Morgan, a young woman and midwifery student from London who was killed by an IUIC leader.
In 2025, Gina was interviewed by UK journalists and featured in the 'Missing Sister" podcast available on Wondery. The podcast is a six-episode series that investigates the murder of Joy Morgan and IUIC.
Gina’s upcoming memoir, Tales From The Cult, shares her personal story of escape, recovery, and resistance. The book is set for release on October 31, 2026.
